Bondi Beach
Bondi Beach…you won’t get a more famous strip of sand, and in this instance, the hype is well deserved. Kissing the Pacific for one kilometre, the beach is more then just a place to get wet and try for the bronzed Aussie look. Yeah sure, she won’t be beaten for swimming, surfing and sunbaking, but there is just as much to do out of the water. Enjoy any number of the amazing bars, restaurants and cafes overlooking the ocean or indulge in some retail therapy, including adding a pair of budgie smuggles (Speedos) to your suitcase. There’s a skate park at the beach’s southern end and throughout the year you will find various festivals, in and around the Bondi Pavilion.
BBQ’s, two ocean baths, change rooms, lockers and a gelato shop to boot, all complete the place that is as popular with the locals as it is with the tourists.
