Kakadu National Park
Only a few hours from Darwin, World Heritage-listed Kakadu is Australia’s largest national park. The landscapes of Kakadu are vast and features waterfalls, amazing flora and fauna and rugged terrain. This is a great place to learn about Australia’s indigenous culture with Kakadu jointly managed by the Australian Government and the Park’s traditional Aboriginal people, the Bininj. Kakadu covers more than 19,000 square kilometres and contains over 1000 plant species plus a plethora of Australia’s bird and fish species. Numerous tours operate from Darwin and these are a great way to explore Australia’s tropical north.
